BALANCED TRAINING
Last Round training programs are designed to focus on particular areas of fitness. They are structured with a clear intent to develop a specific quality. To do this you need to keep your body in balance otherwise your progress will suffer and injury will follow.
Balance can be achieved by ensuring appropriate program progressions so one quality aids the body to build toward the next. Various prehab and rehab activities can be included during active rest periods to help with this balance. For example, heavy pressing needs to be balanced with shoulder health activities. Heavy squatting can be complemented by single leg stability, glute and hamstring work. This also means that tendons and connective tissue are worked through explosive movements that use the stretch shortening cycle, in conjunction with working the strength work for the muscle.
Digging further we implement activities that provide strength to the core that improve both static and dynamic movements. We also use simple strategies to improve your ability to process information and react, which has a huge carry over to all activities, as the better the input, the better chance you have of improving your output.
Knowing how to structure a training cycle so it builds you up, creates a new peak of achievement then de-loads or changes focus at the right time is critical to maintaining progress. We are about building you up not breaking you down. Progressive programming that addresses all of these areas, creates balance in the training cycle and creates a durable client that can continue to progress year-round.
